Its early morning, the sun has just risen but still the mist hovers over the reedbeds, that doesn't deter our Spoonbill  though, he has a busy day ahead. He must protect and defend his precious nest site, so, with his head feathers raised, his bright orange throat on display , lots of wing flapping and bill clacking he makes himself look rather fierce but quite magnificent. A weird but totally wonderful spectacle!
