About

I've had a great love of, and a deep respect for animals and birds for as long as I can remember.  Curious and fascinated by their lives, habitats and characters, I was always outside exploring, reading about or drawing them. That source of fascination and wonder remains. As a very young child I was completely obsessed with drawing horses and would spend hours drawing them again and again in an effort  to make them more realistic. I still feel a need to invoke a sense of realism in my work but I also try to imbue a sense of softness and life too.
Today it seems that the animals and birds that I love are now facing increasing challenges and I feel that it has become even more important for me to try to convey their personality and their beauty in my work in the hope that it just may ignite a love of them in others so that they and their place in this world, however large or small, perhaps will be protected.

I'm at my happiest working with Coloured pencil, Acrylics and Oils.  I always use high quality professional materials to ensure that the artwork will last for many years to come.

I live with my husband and spaniels in a little cottage in a beautiful, rural part of Suffolk. The countryside and the wildlife that surround my home continually offer inspiration.

If you are interested in any of the works that you see in my gallery, please take a look at my online shop or visit my contact page for more details and contact information.

My work can regularly be seen in exhibitions throughout Suffolk and Norfolk.

Commissions

Why not commission an artwork? Perhaps you'd like an artwork of your special feathered or furry chum. Of course, maybe there is a wild bird or animal that holds a special place in your heart. All you need is a good quality photo(s)  to get started and I can help you with the rest.

Don't forget, an artwork can make a wonderful gift too.
